9-1-1 Emergency Service

For EMERGENCIES dial 9-1-1 for Police, EMS, and Fire service from a landline/cellular phone.

R.C.M.P.

Police protection service is provided to the municipality by the Moose Jaw detachment of the R.C.M.P.

Fire Department Services

If you require Fire Department Services, rates are as follows PER CALL:

Caronport Fire Department:

$750 for each hour or part thereof.

• The number of hours responding will be calculated from the time of dispatch to the time the equipment and apparatus dispatched are restored to a sufficient state of readiness to respond to a subsequent alarm.
• Plus the actual cost for any required additional services.

Fire Fighting services are provided on a user pay basis. You will be billed for fire responses to your property. Please note that upon the Fire Departments arrival that they then have full control/jurisdiction of the area and when required RCMP will be called.

Please review your fire insurance policy and the deductible, to be sure you have sufficient coverage.

Fire Suppression

All controlled or planned burns must be reported in order to avoid a false alarm. If you plan to do a controlled burn, please call the 9-1-1 Administration at:

Report what you are burning, the land location of the controlled burn, and the telephone number you can be reached at. This will avoid charges for the Fire Department Services that are not an emergency. Also, call the RM Office or your Councillor to notify them of the burn.

Landowners are responsible for the cost of firefighting services from responding departments.
