Darrel Molde Memorial Scholarship
The Rural Municipality of Wheatlands No. 163 is pleased to offer the Darrel Molde Memorial Scholarship to support local students pursuing continued education.
This scholarship honors the memory of Councillor Darrel Molde, who passed away on March 23, 2026. It recognizes his dedicated service, commitment, and generosity to the community and the many people whose lives he impacted.
Award Amount
$1,500
The scholarship shall be awarded annually to one selected Grade 12 student who is pursuing post-secondary education at an accredited institution.
Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Reside within the Rural Municipality of Wheatlands No. 163; or
- Have parent(s) who own land within the Rural Municipality of Wheatlands No. 163.
Application Requirements
Applicants must submit:
- A completed scholarship application form; and
- A 250–500 word essay outlining their future goals and explaining how this scholarship will assist them in achieving their educational plans.

Selection Process
One successful recipient will be selected annually by Council based on the submitted applications and eligibility requirements.
