May 29, 2024News

Attention Saskatchewan Producers!

Are you looking for funding for your farm or ranch?

The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable-CAP) suite of programs is designed to support agricultural operations through activities such as developing secure and sustainable water sources, increasing environmental resiliency of agricultural land and improving biosecurity and animal welfare.

Farm and Ranch Water Infrastructure Program – provides funding to support the construction of new dugouts, pipelines and wells for agricultural use. Water bowls, solar watering systems, water storage tanks, power installation, hydrants, and other water infrastructure are also eligible when completing a new water project.

Resilient Agricultural Landscapes Program – provides funding through various beneficial management practices (BMP’s) for seeding tame and native forage, grazing management along riparian areas and native rangeland, improving management of livestock wintering sites, improving water sources with high sulphates for livestock consumption, and more!

Animal Health and Biosecurity Program – provides funding for beef cattle, bison, cervid, dairy, honey bees, leafcutter bees, poultry, sheep, goats and swine operations to purchase livestock equipment

There are also funding opportunities for irrigation development and improvements, pest biosecurity, controlling invasive weeds on crown land, and agricultural research. To see the complete suite of programs, visit https://www.saskatchewan.ca/s-cap.
