ROAD MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS (RMA)

The construction and maintenance of a municipal transportation system is one of the most costly items involved in a municipal budget. When an excessive amount of wear and tear is put on municipal roads, it can cause thousands of dollars in additional maintenance costs.

 

RMAs are meant for heavy haul road users that may cause damage to the municipal road network beyond that of average ratepayers or have no property tax base in the municipality.

 

All Saskatchewan Municipal Roads are subject to weight restriction based on The Highway Transportation Act.
